Florida-based luxury swimwear designer Lila Nikole Rivera debutted her La Flor collection at 1 Hotel on Sunday, July 19 in Miami, Florida. Celebrity guests included: Erica Mena, Che’Nelle, Stephie Lecor, and Jena Sims.
The collection was definitely inspired by flowers with its bright, happy colors. Models sauntered across the runaway in fuchsias, corals, and oranges in 36 unique designs. In three words, the collection was hip, girl chic. The models exuded confidence and swagger in oversized visors a la V. Stiviano and sleek, long ponytails.
In my opinion, the girl who wears these suits swims at her leisure then hits up the bar for a refreshing cocktail or three. In keeping with her fit body, she makes sure to work out in the chicest of yoga pants. Speaking of yoga pants, I loved that the collection demonstrated that Lila was more than just a swim designer by featuring a hooded, cropped top with figure-hugging yoga pants.
If the bright colors weren’t enough for the audience to jump at the opportunity to purchase the slinky, flirty bathing suits, guests were also mesmerized by the metallic and neon high top sneakers worn by the models. In fact, in an interview, Rivera revealed that the featured Kruzin Footwear was a collaboration between her and Kruzin Creative Director, Alessandra Gold.
Typically, I’m not a sneaker person, but I could totally see women wearing these sneakers with baggy sweats and an off the shoulder crop top. Instant fab!
This collection will be available in January 2016. Will you be picking a suit for your next vacation? Leave a comment below.
