The “Empire” co-creator has signed a multiyear overall deal with the studio that will allow him to develop, write, direct and supervise new television projects under his Lee Daniels Entertainment banner. He will also remain an executive producer of the popular Fox drama, Empire.

I’m definitely pumped for the next season of Empire. My classmates and I spent every Friday morning watching Empire on the big screen  school projector after International & Comparative Law.  It will be interesting to see what direction Daniels will take with his new television projects. Maybe, he’ll need to cast arising second-year law student. Here’s to hoping!

Congratulations to Lee Daniels. For more about this, read  Variety!
